Seen at Missoni, Giles, and Dries Van Noten, these brilliantly bold lips are statement-making, and also surprisingly flattering. Here are our tips on how to wear this trend without appearing cartoonish.

Prep: Dazzling neon will bring all the attention to your lips, so it’s important to make them as flawless as possible. First, exfoliate to remove flakiness and then apply a primer to give your lip color something to adhere to. We’re currently using Fresh Sugar Lip Polish to scrub and Urban Decay Lip Primer Potion to prep.
Line: Lining your lips is an important step to prevent your lip color from feathering. Instead of matching your liner to your lipstick, use a nude liner to trace just the outside perimeter of your lips. We love the staying power of NARS Lipliner Pencils.
Apply: Don’t risk a messy pout with sloppy application. Use a lip brush for precision, painting from the center of the lip outward, and blot with a tissue to remove excess pigment.
Finish: Since your lip color is attention grabbing, the rest of your look should be subdued. Opt for glowing skin and big flirty lash extensions, of course!!!
